Reclaimed French Parefeuille

These are centuries-old terracotta tiles that were used in the south of France as an underlayment for clay roof tiles. As the old roofs have been restored, some insightful French people have salvaged these unique tiles to set them on floors.
The average size is approximately 9" x 14", but may vary by as much as an inch. They are about 1" thick.
The coloration also varies from lot to lot. Some are quite red in complexion, while others are more ochre or brown. This board shows the tiles set in a "windmill" pattern with a dot made of "Devalliere Chateau" limestone (see "new/limestone") cut to fit. It is sealed with wax

Reclaimed French Square-Yellow/Pink

These terracotta tiles have been recycled from building demolitions in the northern regions of France. They have a beautiful color variation from oranges to reds.
Tiles come in two sizes: 6x6x1” or 8x8x1” (size will vary slightly within each lot).
They are not suitable for outdoor settings where deep frost occurs.
This board shows the tiles sealed with wax and grouted with "Parchment" from TEC.

Reclaimed French Square-Red/orange

Unique reclaimed terracotta tile from Spain. A soft variation of yellow colors and texture. These tiles have been salvaged from demolitions of centuries-old buildings being renovated. Tiles are 5x11x3/4".

Reclaimed Spanish 6x12 (lot#1)

Unique reclaimed terracotta tile from Spain. A soft variation of colors and textures. These tiles have been salvaged from demolitions of centuries-old buildings being renovated. The colors vary from beige to deep, dark reds. Tiles are 6x12x3/4"
The board shows the tiles set in a running band pattern, sealed with wax and grouted with "Parchment" from TEC.

Unique reclaimed terracotta tile from Spain. A rich variation of colors and texture with added figer strokes in this lot. These tiles have been salvaged from demolitions of centuries-old buildings being renovated. Colors vary from yellows to reds. Tiles are 6x12x3/4".
